Our Bikes:
When you ride with us, you have the choice of bringing your own bike or you can use one of ours. Through our partnership with Trek, all riding guests of SportsPulsions.com will be custom fitted to a Trek Madone 5.2 or 5.2 WSD which will be cleaned and serviced throughout your experience by our trained staff.
What to expect on the road:
Our event based tours are designed to give the best access to the race route, soak up the atmosphere and challenge yourself at the level you wish.
With a minimum 1 riding guide for every 8 guests plus additional on-road race accredited support vehicles, we focus on providing rider support and allowing our guests to ride at a pace they enjoy. Cycling itself requires a level of fitness to participate in comfortably but beyond this, there is a wide range of standards involved. We manage this by spreading our guides evenly through the group, having a lead guide who can ride with those that want to push themselves through to our very own 'lantern rouge' guide who is there to assist those wishing to take a more steady pace, break for a coffee, photos, etc.
We find that on the flatter stages, the groups tend to stay together more and then on the mountainous stages, guests tend to split in to smaller groups based on riding levels. For those that are looking for a break or a shorter distance, our support vehicles are there to assist.
On average our rides on the race route vary between 65 and 85km. This distance allows guests to enjoy the best of the stage, finish the route without the stress of road closures ahead of schedule which often occur during the major races, and then have the time to freshen up and enjoy the atmosphere of the VIP hospitality zones and watch the race come to them.
For those looking for extended riding, contact us to discuss further options.
Unsure if the riding is right for you, contact us at info@sportspulsions.com
